simplicity sovereign repair

i am working on a 1996 simplicity sovereign, i can't turn the motor over with the key, but if i turn the key to the on possition and cross jump the starter it cranks. can someone tell me where the fuse is?

Hello everyone!
I have a 21" , around 1979 version. I bought it at a lawn sale perhaps 20 yrs ago. I 've always ran it with a 16:1 mix however it smokes a bit. I was reading in an old manuals that if used OMC oil I could use a 32:1 mix , but otherwise use !6:1. I now buy
modern oil that can be used at a 50:1 mix so I'm wondering if the 16:1 mix using the modern oil might be too rich and the reason for the smoking. Thanks for any advise

Replace universal joint (yoke)

My shaft going to the deck has a loose cross in the yoke. If it is suppose to have needle bearings in it they are gone. My manual not much help on how to remove it. The mower is a 725D with a 34 series deck, model 3461. Thanks for any help.

Quick Question - Changing fluid with Gemini drives

My dealer told me that they do not recommend I change my fluid and filters on my own, that the resulting "dry start" and air in the system can quickly destroy a hydro. And that there is a special procedure that must be done.

I could see it being total hogwash but also some truth in it. Dealer was very open and helpful on other things so I don't lean towards it being a fib but wanted to see what you guys thought.

Repairs john deere transmission problem

Had to remove the the internal parts for seal kit replacement on a k56BR2 transmission. all went well till i moved the machine. pushed the reverse pedal and went forward.pushed forward pedal and went backwards. i'm wondering what i have done wrong. anyone got any ideas?
