craftsman 2550 pressure washer

I just bought this unit at a pawn shop for 40.00,reason was no pressure,so I pulled the rope had good compression,checked engine oil, was good.took it home swapped out the wand and boom had pressure.my question is it looks like the unloader valve spring on the pump was adjusted all the way in (compressed) is there an initial adjustment for that spring?(like 1 1/2 inch or something)Thanks Ty
