crank shaft extensioner

Have a Briggs & Stratton 10 HP 28A707 Engine. The crankshaft extensioner came out when taking the starter clutch off. Threads looked bad. Bought a new one. Retapped the crankshaft threads, now what needs to be done when replacing the new one.
