Dixon 3014 fires once but wont run

Hello, I have an older dixon 3014 mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. It recently stopped running. Here are the symptoms.



Engine turns over and fires only once, then dies. After it fires once, it will not fire again for a while. After sitting for a while, it will fire once again and die, and so on.



Any ideas on where I need to look first?
