murray died while mowing and wont start ??????

i have a murray rear engine model 30544x92a, 30 inch cut single blade . i was mowing and it just sputtered and died. i messed with the choke a little bit and managed to get it to start a second time . after half my yard was mowed it died again and wont start again . any ideas?
