I have a Snapper 331415KVE that has me completely puzzled and I need HELP !
I have worked on power equipment for years and have rebuilt 10 or more Snapper rear axle but this is a first. After assembling the differential RH fender and placing the chain case back on the hex drive tube when I install the LH fender I am to wide to bolt the rear drive system together.
I am confused if this is a X-Tough model, it has fender bearings but only has 4 pinion gears. So I tried leaving out the LH spacer for X-Tough models but the unit is still to wide. I did replace the hex drive shaft which is the only thing I can think of that would make the unit to wide. Is there more than one length of hex drive shafts ? I see that Briggs & Stratton has purchased Snapper and all the part numbers have changed.
Please help me understand what is going on...
Thanks in advance
