Hello everyone, I'm a new member to this forum.
I have a Ferris H3222K 70" deck (from the mid 90's) making a whining noise
When I press the pedal to go forward or reverse the mower makes a whining noise. The noise is constant when the pedal is depressed in either direction.
I feel like it is a transmission issue.
What I'm planing to do:
1. check for leaks
2. check the belt
3. check to see if the fan is still there and working properly
4. try to bleed the hydraulic lines (just in case an air bubble has gotten in)
5. jack the mower up and see if it still makes any whining noise while the wheels are not under load
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know
Thank you
