We'll I bought my MZT52 as I posted here awhile back, i did a quick cut of my back yard that day just to get the feel for it. This thing is powerful and being new to a zero turn defiantly requires a learning curve. I put it in my basement and since my yard had just been cut a few days before buying it I just started taking it out a few minutes a day after work and practicing using it. I noticed the right lap bar was very sloppy compared to the left. so I decided rather than load it up and haul it back to my dealer I would just take the control panel off and check it out. What I found was the lever the lap bar bolts too goes into a metal brace and is held in place by a 1/2" bolt that has a nylon bearing on each side with a metal sleeve in the middle. So somewhere I guess during factory assembly one of the nylon bearings didn't make it into place so the bolt and sleeve were unsupported and loose on one side. Called my dealer and he luckily had one in stock and made sure it was in my mailbox the very next day! I put it in and had it all back together in about 30 minutes. No big deal, it's just one of those things and I don't hold it against Husqvarna. So anyway it rained a day or two and my grass grew and today I decided to cut it as well as my neighbors. Like I said this thing is powerful and after everyone said run it at full throttle when cutting I had a very interesting first real lawn cutting. A few nice spin marks, before I learned to turn it slower, hit some things, flower pot, knocked the bird feeder down and ran into a flower beds wooden border and bumped my trailer tongue off its resting brick all with that darn giant rubber discharge shoot. I defiantly will be looking into one of those flip up metal plate systems. By the time I had done my yard and half of my neighbors I was getting the feel for this beast and starting to enjoy it more. I guess at this point I can say I like it pretty well, I like the power, I'm a big guy and it never bogged or even felt like it would going up small grades. As for the mower, it's built good, I went over it good when I had it apart and it has quality parts throughout. Things I didn't like, the lap bars turn inward toward your body, being big they hit me when I would reverse the mower, I fixed this by reversing them so now they point slightly outward instead. The ROPS bar hits tree limbs, you forget it's there then bam!! A few new things for 2014 are of course the FS Kawasaki 22hp motor but also the two small purg tanks for the ZT34 trannies has been combined into one long tank also the hour meter now only runs when the blade pto is engaged and stays blank the rest of the time. I thought it was broke till I read the owners manual. This is a good built mower, and better than a lot I looked at for the same money. Thanks to this forum and the members past posts, you tube videos and replies to my newbie questions for helping me make a informed purchase.
