Starter replacement on Kohler

I replaced the starter on my 8179-G 17hp seriesII Kohler twin. The old starter would not engage sometimes, so I thought I should replace it before it let me down. I replaced it with OEM Kohler from Richards lawn and garden. The old one will be rebuilt and will a replacement backup if I need it.
