B and s twin Cycl model 402437

Hi my bolens tractor cut out and I eventually discovered it was the fuel cut off solenoid

I had stripped down and replaced fuel lines and pump.

I have removed solenoid and blanked off but now it only runs on full choke.

, and as soon as I start to close it down it cuts out

Can I assume I have messed with something as I am under the impression that the cut off is to purely stop misfire on shut down, so should have no bearing on the normal running if removed
