I have a 2000 Troy Bilt

It has hesitation going forward , not reverse.
Good mower BUT I replaced the transmission at a shop when it was less than 4 years old. This time I would like fix it myself
I opened up the transaxle and the gears looked fine put it back together (new grease) and it performed fine for a day. now I wonder if its the differential.
