L120 won't start

I have an L120 that won't turnover or do anything. I put a new battery in it in the spring. So I know that's not the problem but if I jump it, it will start. I've replaced the starter solenoid but still nothing. Should I check the voltage regulator next. If so where is it located? Thanks for your help
