I recently bought a used craftsman LT1000 riding mower with a B&S 17.5 horsepower engine. I cleaned carb,replaced the two o rings and the gasket to the intake. It surges when running and I have tried to adjust the air/fuel screw with no change in engine. Any one have any ideas on what to do next? Also does anyone have a picture of how the mower blade engage cable is installed. This mower did not come with one and I am not sure how to hook it up. I am including all model numbers and serial numbers and if anyone can tell me how old this mower is I would appreciate that as well. any and all answers to questions will be greatly appreciated.
The mower model number is 917. 273380, serial number is 101403B002051. The engine code is 0369 10ZE. The Model number on the engine is 31C707 0230E1. Thanks in advance. Jack
