Hello ...... first post but have been following this forum for many months. I am trying to fix a buddies lawn tractor that is giving me nightmares. The tractor is an Ariens 42" hydro lawn tractor. He asked me to look at it because the drive belt came off the pulley near the rear wheels. Belt was old and needed to be replaced so I put a new belt on it and seemed to work fine but after a few minutes of mowing the new belt came off again. I checked all the pulleys and they seem to be moving freely and operating fine. Any suggestions on what could be causing this to happen?
