I have a older MTD Yard Machine 36". The extension spring that attaches to the lifting shaft and one of two holes (if it even hooks there) in the upper frame. The spring when hooked at one end is abouta good 6" inches away from hooking in one of the two. One is a little closer but only by 3 inches. One hole on upper frame is larger. My question is which hole and is the install just a stretch it and hook it or its there a way to rotate the lifting shaft back to a closer point to hook the spring.
