Craftsman riding mower

I have a T3000 craftsman riding mower. It is a 2015 model. I have about 20 hours on it and the shifting in and out of forward and reverse is difficult. Sometimes I have to push the brake several times to get it stop. then I can go forward or reverse. It just started doing this and still works, but seems like it needs adjustment or something. Is there any adjustment?

Yard Machines 38" cut 12.5 hp (?) Brake safety switch problem

Good Morning all.

I've got problems with my yard machines tractor. Can't find the model number and I switched the engine to a Koehler 12.5, 3 1/2 years ago.
Anyway, I think this is a general question.
The brake pedal has a "sweet spot". I have to position it in just the right spot (within 1/2") in order to get the starter to engage.
Otherwise, the machine works pretty well.
Looking at the safety switches and brake linkage, I see no adjustment. I suspect the pedal travels too far in. Yes/no?

I'd also sure appreciate brake adjustment instructions also as it's pretty slow to stop. The pads look ok.

I can provide pics (let me know what you need) .
Thanks folks.

Engine swap?

I have an old MTD tractor with the B&S opposed twin 17.5. Motor runs well, but the rest of the mower is falling apart.

Just had given to me a newer MTD (White branded) with a blown Intek 15.5 HP

What are the odds I can swap the twin from my MTD to the White without too much difficulty?

I am having trouble finding the specs and dimension on the Twin-II and I don't yet have the two machines in one place.

Any suggestions?

No speed control HRT2162TDA Harmony II - get me started?

Bought used, worked great for a while now speed control not working.

HRT2162TDA
Serial MZCG-6974996

Clues:
  1. Pulling clutch lets it pull backwards
  2. I took the crap plastic change control apart at it seems like the plastic coil is always out of the groove its supposed to be in
  3. Putting it back in allowed it to work, but no 2nd or 3rd speed then 1st fades out also, but then it stopped
  4. PTook it apart and plastic tension spring out of the groove again

Its the inside of this speed change knob item #15: Honda Power Equipment - Parts Look Up - Official Site

Cant quite see the crap plastic inside but there is a plastic tension spring that sticks in a groove that seems, well, useless:

Not sure if the issue is on the change control isde or under engine. But hoping to get the most likely cause from experts before guessing.

From underneath it looks good, spring in place, but cant see entire tranny and control arm. And for the life of me I cant see how the bottom deck components come part to even get to where the speed control cable attaches.

Any insights? Refuse to let it die ;^)

D140 Trans Quit Pulling After 5 Hours

Recently bought a brand new D140 and after just over 5 hours on the meter, the transmission just quit pulling. Flat ground, no obstructions, normal mowing and she just stopped moving. The only thing I thought to do was disengage then re-engage the rod in the back but that didn't help, of course. Form what I've been reading, the tranny is a sealed unit. Is there anything I could at least look for to tell if the tranny is damaged? This is the 3rd D140 I've had in a month; the first one looked like it was set up by a baboon so I sent it back. The second one had a hub seize up after the first 20 minutes. I'm starting to think the green machine was a mistake. Any suggestions on the tranny concern? Thanks!
